Colemans Farm, Lower Chicksgrove, Tisbury, Salisbury, SP3 6NB

A venue known as Colemans Farm becomes the next temporary Greyhound Racing venue to discuss. Coleman’s Farm resides in Lower Chicksgrove, a hamlet situated two miles east of Tisbury and ten miles west of Salisbury in Wiltshire.

The farm is located just north of a railway line that operates close to the village, and the railway bridge crossing becomes the best guide to find this venue. Although the track’s exact location is not revealed, it is known that spot grading was used, with the hounds contesting over a 300-yard straight course, using the ball type hare as its lure.

It is found that events took place during June 1983, but further dates have yet to come to light.
