Burrows Close, Braunton, Barnstaple, Devon EX33 1EX
Another of North Devon’s Greyhound Racing venues was the one found in the village of Braunton, a parish located five miles northwest of Barnstaple.
A newspaper clip found in the local press from April 1931 suggests that a gathering took place near or possibly in the grounds of Braunton cricket ground.
Greyhounds, Whippets and Lurcher’s all featured in the gathering to take part in events. At present, no other further details have been discovered.
