Hartsholme Cricket Ground, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln LN6

Hartsholme cricket ground became another of Lincoln’s Greyhound Racing venues, that would operate under temporary license organised by the Lincoln Ball Hare Promotions.

The venue which still serves as a cricket ground today, is found two miles southwest of the city centre in the district of Hartsholme just off Ashby Road,

All evidence of the sport having taken place has now gone, but it is known that meetings are found to have taken place during 1969. Additional years could be added to these years, but at present there is no proof. Spot grading was used to grade the hounds, and like all these temporary venue in Lincoln, a ball type hare was used as the lure.

This Greyhound Owner advert is dated April 1969.
