Wragby, Lincolnshire

Another temporary track to discuss is the one at East Barkwith, near Wragby in Lincolnshire. No doubt the county was blessed with these type of sporting venues, springing up then disappearing within a matter of months.

Yet it is known that meetings surfaced at this venue between 1965 and 1968 and possibly longer but no other evidence proves this. What is known that it was a straight track, with the spot graded hounds contesting over distances of 200 and 250 yards, with a Ball type hare used as the lure.

Its exact location has yet to be determined. The village of East Barkwith lies 13 miles northeast of Lincoln along the A157.
