It is known that two Greyhound Racing venue took place in the village of Three Legged Cross, a village situated ten miles north of Bournemouth in Dorset. This paragraph mentions the one that took place on land connected to Heathlands Farm, sited at the end of Lower Common Lane, about half a mile south of the village. Evidence shows that gatherings took place during 1984 and 1992 on a straight course distance of 225 and 300 yards. Spot grading was used, with the hounds contesting behind a ball hare type lure.
