The first of two temporary greyhound racing tracks that took place in the village of Three Legged Cross was the one situated within the vicinity of Home Farm.

Home Farm lies one mile southeast of the village along Ringwood Road, with the track’s exact location unknown at this moment. Adverts are found in the Greyhound Owner newspapers of 1983 and 1991, that a straight course existed which offered events that run over 250, 300 and 325 yards.

The hounds were spot graded and contested behind a ball hare type lure. It is known that Pony Racing also took place at the venue, but other than that little else is known. The village of Three Legged Cross is located ten miles north of Bournemouth in Dorset.

This advert was printed in The Greyhound Owner of April 1984.
