Pump Farm Equestrian Centre, Warley Gap, Brentwood, Essex

The Essex town of Brentwood has seen Greyhound Racing taking place at a number of venues in its vicinity. This chapter describes possibly its most recent with evidence showed that it operated during May 1982 and September 1984.

No doubt operating under a temporary license, the 270-yard-long peat surface straight track was found at The Pump Farm Equestrian centre, on Bird Lane in Warley Gap. This venue lies three miles south of Brentwood, and although the equestrian centre is still there it is not known yet exactly were the track lay.

This Greyhound Owner advert is dated April 1984.
This is image was printed in The Greyhound Star of July 1991, is it the same place as above.
