Verwood Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP20.

The Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury has become home to greyhound Racing at more than one venue. This chapter describes the one that took place in a meadow along side Verwood Road, roughly one miles north east of the town virtually opposite the Dairy Maid Public House.

The track had at one point described as a half circle then others advertise a 330 yard straight, and that operational years of 1970 and 1984 have come to light. It is known that the hounds chased a ball type hare, other than that, no other information is available.

The site has now been built over with a new apartment with Verwood Road now known as Aqua Way.

This advert was printed in The Greyhound Owner of June 1970.
