Corsham Town Football Club, Southbank, Lacock Rd, Corsham SN13 9HS

The market town of Corsham is found three miles southwest of Chippenham in Wiltshire. It is known that greyhound racing took place at a temporary level during the summer of 1953 at Corsham Town’s football ground.

Little is known how it operated but it seems it was for a brief spell only. The football ground remains to host amateur football today and is situated one mile east of Corsham town centre along the B3353 Laycock Road. It is very unlikely that any evidence of greyhound racing remains today.

This cutting was printed in The Greyhound Owner dated August 1953.
