First indication of greyhound racing held in the town of Hawick was a venue known as Miller’s Knowes.

Miller’s Knowes is a recreation park that overlooks the town of Hawick half a mile away from the east.

Little is known on how it operated or even its exact location, but it is thought it was only a primitive type of track.
