near Bablock Hythe, Oxford, Oxfordshire
Northmoor is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire, situated about 6 miles west of Oxford and almost the same distance again southeast of Witney.
It was during the summer of 1962 that adverts were printed in The Greyhound Owner newspaper advertising greyhound racing over a 350-yard straight course. The adverts reveal little else, yet it is presumed a drag hare was used a lure.
Again, although the adverts do its best to pinpoint its location there is not enough information to show exactly where it lay, although it gives the impression that it was situated somewhere adjacent to the road that headed towards northwest towards Bablock Hythe.
