The Hampshire village of Hamble-on-Rice is situated roughly three miles south east of Southampton city centre.
A cutting from a June 1953 edition of The Greyhound Owner suggests that a series of meetings were stages at Hound Corner just off Hamble Lane about a mile north of the village.
The tracks exact location is not clear, yet there is a cluster of sports-fields close-by which could help in pinpointing its location.
