Rugby Football Club, Feltham Hill Road, Hanworth, Middlesex

The Middlesex borough of Staines became well known for being one of the most popular flapping tracks on the outskirts of London, although the venue lay in the boundaries of Wraysbury a few miles to the west.

Yet another Greyhound Racing venue became linked with the town during 1971, with a temporary venue operating at the Staines Rugby Club ground. Again, this venue lay outside of Staines boundaries, this time in the urban district of Hanworth which lies roughly four miles east of Staines.

The hounds were spot graded and contested over a one bend course of 400 yards. No further information has been recovered regarding racing, yet the rugby ground still exists and is located on Snakey Lane northwest of Hanworth.
