The West Midlands surprisingly could not be classed as hotbed for Greyhound Racing, but one of its few flip track was found at the Kings Norton Rugby Ground on Ash Lane, Hopwood, a venue situated less than half a mile north of junction 2 of the M42. Operations took place during May 1982 with spot graded hounds contesting over a straight course. Further information regarding on how events were staged, and how long the sport lasted, still remains unavailable.
