The Welsh town of LLanelli lies twelve miles north west of Swansea in Carmarthenshire, South Wales. It is known that greyhound racing took place in the town during the late 1930’s and early 1940’s at a venue called Stebonheath Park. Stebonheath Park still exists and has staged Rugby Union, Football and Athletics in recent years and is found half a mile east of LLanelli town centre. Little is known on how greyhound racing was staged as the venue is totally different from almost 80 years ago, so any remnants of the dogs remains unlikely.
