It is known that a temporary greyhound track was laid in the vicinity of Harrogate in West Yorkshire. The spa town of Harrogate lies roughly fifteen miles north of Leeds city centre, with a cutting from a Greyhound Owner newspaper suggesting that greyhound racing took place during the summer of 1949. No further information regarding its exact location or how it operated is yet available.

This cutting was printed in The Greyhound Owner of September 1949.
