Derehams Lane, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

One of the most popular flip tracks mentioned on this site was the one situated in the hamlet of Loudwater in Buckinghamshire.

Sometimes known to regulars as Derehams Lane, it was a venue situated roughly two miles east of High Wycombe. The grassed surface straight would vary its distances over the years, from as little as 310 yards during the early 1950’s and 1960’s, with a 440 yards trip advertised during the 1970’s, before returning to a reduced 350-yard trip during the early 1980’s.

My view is that events did take place on land belonging to Upper Dereham’s Farm, although Mr A Galloway has confirmed that the track was at the very top of Derehams Lane over the style in the first field.
