One of the most popular flip tracks mentioned on this site was the one situated in the hamlet of Loudwater in Buckinghamshire. Sometimes known to regulars as Dereham Lane, it was a venue situated roughly two miles east of High Wycombe. The grassed surface straight would vary its distances over the years, from as little as 310 yards during the early 1950’s and 1960’s, with a 440 yards trip advertised during the 1970’s, before returning to a reduced 350 yard trip during the 1980’s. Unfortunately my knowledge of Loudwater is limited any help on pinpointing its exact location or when it ended would be very helpful.
