Hayton Lane End, Nr Brampton, Carlisle, Cumbria CA8 9JB

Eight miles east of Carlisle is the small market town of Brampton. It is known that a handful of Greyhound Racing enthusiasts, known as the East Side Greyhound Company, promoted meetings two miles southwest of Brampton during the mid 1960’s.

It is suggested that gatherings were staged very close to the Lane End Inn Public House, situated on the junction with the A69 and Hayton Lane End. Further information regarding how it operated remains sparse, even its exact location has yet to be revealed.
