The village of Elburton lies five miles south east of the City of Plymouth in South West Devon. An advert printed in The Greyhound Owner dated June 1961 shows that greyhound racing took place at avenue along Sherford Road east of the village. The advert shows that events would take place over a 300 yard straight course, no doubt a trackless drag hare would have been used as a lure. Its exact location or its timescale is not known.

This GO advert is dated June 15th 1961.
