now Chicory Close, Swindon SN2

An advert printed in The Greyhound Owner newspaper dated April 1960, shows that greyhound racing took place on a meadow near Moredon Power Station in Wiltshire.

The now demolished Power Station was found roughly two and a half miles northwest of Swindon town centre, disappearing from the horizon during 1979. Its site is now covered by housing, with Chicory Close virtually dissecting the site.

There is virtually no information on how it operated, and its exact location has yet to be determined.

This GO advert is dated April 28th 1960.
