Twerton Park, Twerton, Bath, BA2 1DB

This city of Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, more known for its tourism and its Spa, and lies eleven miles southeast of Bristol. Yet it Is a city that could add its name to the list of staging greyhound racing, even though it was staged at a temporary level.

A paragraph printed in The Greyhound Owner dated April 1961, mentions that greyhound racing was staged at Twerton Park the home of Bath City Football Club.

Twerton Park lies in the district of Twerton situated roughly one and a half miles west of Bath’s city centre. No information on how it operated is mentioned in the paragraph, although the venue still exists still hosting non-league football.

It is in this Greyhound Owner caption dated April 20th 1961, that gives us some insite that greyhound racing took place in Bath at more than one venue.
